Come and learn the wonderful art of linocut printmaking and stained glass on this iris themed one day combo workshop.
You will spend half a day with me learning how to transfer and carve an iris onto a piece of lino (a design will be provided for you to trace with the opportunity to add your own personal touch). Once you have finished carving your block, you will be guided through the hand printing process to create a multi colour print, with a choice of ink colours for your petals.
On the other half of the day you will work with Jo from Jo Snowdon Stained Glass to create a beautiful single stem stained glass iris using the copper foil method, also known as the tiffany technique. You will learn to cut the glass, grind and foil each piece, and then solder them together, adding a metal rod to create your finished flower. There will be a range of different coloured opaque glass to choose from to personalise your design.

At the end of this creative day you will take home your handprinted linocut iris card and single stem stained glass iris with a little bud vase to display it in. A lovely addition to your home or a perfect set to give as a gift to someone special.
This workshop is suitable for complete beginners with no previous experience or drawing ability needed, or for those who have done some lino printing and stained glass before. There are two dates to choose from:
